Monday, 5/30/2005 – We left Farmington, NM and drove through southeastern Colorado to Dodge City, KS, almost all of it on two lane roads. This is one of the most remote areas of the country that I've ever seen. No farms, no towns. The only people we saw were storm chasers parked monitoring the progress of various storms crossing the area. Once we got into Kansas, at least there were farms and some small towns.
